RARE NEAR-GEM BEAUTY from the Caribbean
.  Collected by a shrimp trawler in 40 meters of water, the Caribbean.  I apologize for taking so long to list this rare beauty from a collection put together by a master--- the rarely offered voluta demarcoi.  And of course, it was collected in the most romantic of ways,
by accident
by a shrimp trawler.  That's how the milneedwardsi cone became available, it was the shrimp trawlers that found them, and of course, it was a very smart collector in South Africa who was the first one to think of them, run down to the docks and discover the mother lode, shell collecting-wise!  Anyhow, this
big
peach-colored beauty with a nice lip, (the only flaw being a repair on its body that the shell worked into its pattern) is otherwise, as the photos show, a beautiful,
rare, big
near-GEM that will look
wonderful
sitting on your shelf!

As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on eBay show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest!
