    Original 1917 French lithograph supporting the third annual defense loan, a national bond drive held during the First World War. Image shows a fierce angel defending a mother and child. Caption at the bottom reads: "Subscribe to Hasten Peace and Victory." Artist is Albert Besnard, a painter and illustrator best known for his ceiling fresco at the Comédie Française, France's national theater in Paris. Dimensions are 44 x 31 inches
